Maintain a License

There are several items that you must do to maintain an active license in Ohio. This page provides key items and deadlines to keep in mind.

In order to maintain an active license in Ohio, your online renewal application, continuing education (CEs), and payment must be submitted/completed prior to your expiration date of January 1, April 1, July 1, or October 1 of each calendar year.

Your CEs must be NAB or BELTSS approved to qualify, and you may only have 10 online/self-study CEs per renewal.  You need a total of 20 CEs to renew.

Please submit your CEs in the MyBELTSS system as early as possible to allow time for processing prior to your expiration date in case there is a problem with your CE entry.
